[dropcap1]T[/dropcap1]he Pantone Colour Of The Year for 2018 has been announced and it’s Ultra Violet! This bright and mysterious colour is a fantastic way to update your interiors and give your home more personality. But it’s much more than a colour. As mentioned on the Pantone website, “Ultra Violet symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark on the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets.” Here are five other popular colours that will be making their mark in 2018.
Temperamental Colors
Dulux calls them moody hues because they’re darker and richer. These colours are unafraid to give an edgier look to your interiors. Think almost-black tones, dark chocolate, and blueberry.
Shy Pink
Barely-there pink is hot again – did it ever go out of style? – with its blushing colour signifying ultimate chicness. It’s classic yet trendy, creating the perfect colour for any interiors.
Black Is The New Black
Black is considered a hot neutral but don’t stop with an accent wall – make your entire room black. It might sound like too much, but when combined with wooden furniture in lighter shades and velvet chairs or patterned carpets, it screams luxury.
White As Snow
White is coming back, and interestingly although it used to be used as a default colour, it’s now a choice people are going to be making in their home interiors. White creates a serene, calming atmosphere in a room. It works well when you have interesting dabs of colour popping up in the rest of the room because the snowy landscape will highlight them, while preventing your space from looking too clinical.
Blended Greens
Green shades are still big no matter whether they’re dark or bright, pale or straight out of a forest daydream. However, expect to see them in a bolder way. Mixing green with yellow or blue shades will be a popular take on our love of green in 2018, creating something completely different. An example can be seen by BEHR, a company that sells paint and exterior wood care products, which has named its 2018 colour “In the moment.” This shade is a calming blue that’s blended with grey and green. It looks lively and happy, yet serene. The perfect way to give your home the best of both moods! Best of all, its slightly unusual tone makes for a unique and eye-catching wall colour.

I believe snowy white with small gradients of shy pink will be too good for home. And as you said neutral black with wooden furniture in lighter shades would enlighten the office. Thanks for sharing such useful information Giulia
