Christmas has always been my favourite time of year. Ever since I was kid, 01 December marked the countdown to my birthday and Christmas and the days were numbered by our advent calendar.

Back in the day an advent calendar was just a paper cut out with a few words behind each window but as the years have gone on, the advent calendar has become more complex and expensive. So this year we are going to show you how to take a step back in time and simplify the idea of the advent calendar with these easy DIY advent calendar ideas.
