The collection consists of furniture, lighting, accessories, and hand printed fabrics which are transformed into a variety of textile products in their workshop in Cape Town, South Africa.
Indigi’s focus is to create sustainable employment for the group of African artisans they employ.
Indigi Designs founder, Natalie du Toit
The company was founded in early 2011 by designer Natalie du Toit who sought to create a collection of distinctive yet accessible lifestyle products rooted in Africa with global appeal.
Having grown up between South Africa and Australia, the collection is a culmination of Natalie’s fascination with indigenous cultures, love of bold pattern, colour and form, merged with her experience in design, retail and manufacturing.
The studio is based in the trendy Woodstock Foundry design centre in Woodstock in Cape Town and is surrounded by a hub of creative inspiration and a cultural fusion.
The dynamic and skilled team is driven by passion for their craft and the creation of better lives and sustainable employment.
