Handcrafted ceramic 3 lady bambanani tall vase in bright on white.
Hand thrown unique pottery vase, lovingly embellished and hand painted by creative South African women artisans. Each piece is glazed and then kiln fired resulting in a beautiful finish. These vases are multi-functional and can be used as a bold display piece, or as originally intended, an eye-catching vase. An excellent house warming or wedding gift!
Each vase represents strength and unity and features three (3) ladies all in brightly coloured dresses on white that circle the vase and hold hands, all of them donning a traditional African headscarf that is symbolic of Xhosa women. Look closely and you will see a tiny infant on the woman’s back, which is how African babies are traditionally carried.
